A free-to-enter art exhibition is on at Ampleforth Abbey Visitor Centre from 11 to 20 December, 11am-3pm (excluding Mon/Tues).
As part of the Ryevitalise Community Arts Programme, artist Sue Walsh has produced a fascinating collaborative installation, inspired by the inter-connectedness of habitats within the River Rye landscape.
The project involved a series of immersive workshops engaging local people and landowners in the natural environment, through movement, sound exploration, eco-printing and creative writing.
The aim of the project is to raise the profile of our captivating river environments and the importance of inter-connecting mosaic of habitats.
The exhibition is being held on the ground floor with step-free entry, accessible for all at Ampleforth Abbey Visitor Centre, York YO62 4EN
