Aug 15, 2023 | News - Featured

Ryedale Open Studios is taking place over the weekends of 9/10th and 16/17th September 2023 at various locations across Ryedale. We are proud to be supporting the ‘Ryevitalise Ryedale Open Studios’ of independent artists John Arnison and Paula Hickey and Cause and Effect, an exhibition of their work produced in collaboration with the Ryevitalise Landscape Partnership, inspired by the River Rye. Hovingham Hall are kindly hosting the artists (who created work for the Cause and Effect Exhibition shown by the National Trust at Nunnington Hall in 2022) in their spectacular Riding School. Open Studio numbers 22 and 29. Entry to the exhibition is free. See https://www.ryedaleopenstudios.com/ for more details.

In addition to the official Ryedale Open Studios weekends the exhibit will be open on Saturday 2nd September, 10am-3pm to coincide with Hovingham Village Market. A chance to see some thought-provoking art, learn about the local landscape and talk to the artists and landscape practitioners directly about their collaborative experience.
