Heritage Open Days & Open Studios

September brings unrivalled opportunities to explore the Howardian Hills cultural and natural heritage.

Ryedale Open Studios 2023 and Heritage Open Days both occur between the 9th and 17th of September 2023. These give free access and insights into some of the area’s most iconic historic buildings and the studios of artists inspired by this beautiful landscape.

Through Heritage Open Days the following venues will be opening their doors:
Nunnington Hall: 15th, 16th and 17th September: 10:30-17:00
Howsham Mill: Sunday 17 September: 10:30 to 17:00
Stonegrave Minster: Saturday 16 September: 13:00-17:00
All Saints Church, Appleton-le-Street: Saturday 16 September: 10:00-16:00

You can also access the unique Hovingham Hall Riding School and Stables which is hosting the ‘Open Studios’ of artists John Arnison and Paula Hickey on: 16/17th September: 10:00-15:00
