Castle Howard Estate is a major landowner within the Howardian Hills National Landscape and they recognise that the management of their breathtaking landscape is changing. They are enhancing biodiversity and sequestering carbon by creating habitat banks, transitioning to regenerative farming, and restoring the botanical complexity of the estate’s parklands.
As part of their commitment to the natural environment, Castle Howard hold a series of informal evening talks about nature and landscapes. Their Future Landscapes talks explore how the Estate sees, interacts with and manages its unique local landscapes, with a presentation by a guest speaker followed by an open questions and answers session.
The talks are held in the evening of every third Tuesday of the month in Castle Howard’s Courtyard Cafe. They run from 7pm until approximately 8pm – doors open at 6.30pm. Places are free of charge but need to be booked through Castle Howard’s website, where details can also be found of their entire Natural Environment events programme https://www.castlehoward.co.uk/whats-on/natural-environment-events
