Each year our volunteers donate their time and skills to help conserve and enhance the AONB’s special landscape. It’s a great way to make friends, learn new skills, get fit and make a tangible difference.
There are lots of ways to volunteer with us from practical conservation days to assisting at events. You could help with:
- Practical conservation tasks
- Assisting us at events
- Children’s activities
Volunteer helping school children

Our volunteers are administered through North Yorkshire County Council’s Countryside Volunteers. You will be required to register with the County Council Volunteer Service to help with our tasks.
Some of our conservation/habitat management tasks are undertaken alongside a team from Moorswork, a social enterprise providing work based opportunities for adults with learning difficulties in the conservation sector.
If you think that you might like to volunteer with us please email us on firstname.lastname@example.org or phone us on 01609 536 778. We would be delighted to hear from you!
