WINTER FUN IN THE HOWARDIAN HILLS AONB
All sessions take place at The Arboretum, Castle Howard
FEED THE BIRDS - Monday 22nd December
9.45am to 11.45am
Learn how to help the birds in your garden this winter. Go on a bird walk to find out what birds eat in the wild during the winter. Make bird cake and feeding stations to take home.
SNOWFLAKES AND ICICLES - Monday 22nd December
12.45pm to 14.45pm
How do icicles and snowflakes form? Enjoy some chilly fun with a bit of
seasonal sparkle as we grow a Crystal tree and make Kaleidoscopes and snowflakes.
STAR TREKKING - Monday 22nd December
3.30pm to 5.30pm
Find out how the stars got their names. Design your own constellation, create a star cascade and festive decorations from clay.
FESTIVE FUN - Tuesday 23rd December
9.45am to 11.45am
Fancy making some natural festive decorations? See what you can collect in the Arboretum and use it to make willow wreaths, fir cone mobiles and yuletide logs.
Activities primarily aimed at 5-12 year olds; all children must be accompanied by an adult. For more details please click here.
