Snowy Ranger Club

The Festive Fun Junior Ranger Club sessions at the Arboretum Trust on Monday had an added festive twist - the snowfall over the weekend turned the Arboretum into a winter wonderland.

Whilst numbers were understandably depleted due to the difficulties with travelling from outlying villages the children (and parents) who did manage to reach us enjoyed some of the morning bird watching and hunting for tracks in the snow. They they returned indoors for the rest of the day to make animal prints from plaster of paris, bird cake to take home and hang out around the Arboretum visitors centre and Yule Logs to add a festive touch to their homes.

The session was run jointly by the Arboretum Trust and the AONB and it was supported by volunteers from both organisations.
