Community Event - Barton le Street
What would you like to see happening in your local area?
Why is your locality special?
What could be improved?
What do you or your community want to do?
One of four "drop in" events taking place in village halls in the Howardian Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty which are open to all adults and children from villages in the AONB and the surrounding localities. The third one is at Barton le Street Village Hall and we would like you to come along and share your thoughts and ideas with us and let us know what matters to you. Advice will be available about how to take forward projects that will benefit your local area, including possible sources of funding, grants and further guidance. We will be looking at many topics including collating historical information, undertaking habitat conservation work, improving resources for children, writing walk leaflets, provision of adult education, and any other ideas that you may have?
Advisors from Yorkshire Rural Community Council (YRCC), Howardian Hills AONB, Ryedale District Council, North Yorkshire Police, Fire & Rescue Service, Safer Ryedale, Ryedale Housing, Community Education Service, Yorkshire Wildlife Trust and RyeCat as well as the Area Countryside Ranger will be there.
Drop in anytime between 3.00 pm and 7.30 pm, there will be hands-on activities for adults and children, displays of photographs taken by local children and refreshments will be provided
Other sessions will be at the following venues:
Welburn Village Hall on 13th May 2008
Hovingham Village Hall on 2nd June 2008
