Walking Event

The Howardian Hills AONB will be one of many Countryside organisations and charities to have a stand at Castle Howard on 21st June this year . There will be a large walking event held there aimed at raising valuable funds for the charity Challenge 4 Nepal which helps disabled and disadvantaged children in Nepal.

In addition to raising funds they want to encourage adults and children to participate together. Although it is not a condition of entry, could you walk with a child? it could be one of your own children, a relative's child or, with their parent's permission, the child of a friend or neighbour.

Walks ranging from 2 miles to 15 miles in length have been planned to cater for all ages and abilities, the routes chosen for the walk pass through the attractive grounds of Castle Howard and the surrounding countryside and all start in front of the main house at Castle Howard. Full details of the arrangements for the day will be provided to those individuals and groups who register and pay their entry fees.

Unique certificates will be provided for all participants who complete their chosen course.
