Nocturnal Nature on National Bat Night

Time: Meet at 7pm
Duration: 7pm-10pm
Cost: £5.00 per adult and £3.00 per child

Join the Howardian Hills AONB, Yorkshire Wildlife Trust and Castle Howard for an evening discovering Nocturnal Nature. Before the sun sets build your bat box and find out about a bats life. As night draws in try your hand at bat identification with the help of a bat detector as we discover the different species of bats using different habitats around the Castle Howard Estate.

Flat shoes or boots are recommended as we will be walking between the different habitats. Please bring a torch if you have one and remember to bring warm, dry, clothing as the temperature might drop with nightfall.

The cost includes one bat box kit per family/group (to be assembled on the evening). Additional box kits available - please order when booking.

Refreshments: Tea and coffee included in the price.
