Wild about wood

Event being organised by: the Arboretum, Kew at Castle Howard

The inaugural Wild about Wood Festival will be a major stand-alone event designed to provide an engaging, exciting and fun day out in the stunning setting of the Arboretum, Kew at Castle Howard.

Come along and see:

  • Demonstrations of traditional wood crafts and skills (e.g. willow weaving, hurdle making)
  • Chainsaw sculpting
  • Furniture making
  • Arboretum tours and woodland trails
  • Sales of regional arts, crafts and foods
  • Eductional activities
  • Refreshments
  • Mix of free and paid entertainment.


    Activities taking place in the marquee, around the lake and beyond. Plenty to do in the more easily accessible areas of the site.


    Cost: Adult £6, concession £5, child £4 and family ticket £16


    Free car parking available on site and bus links also available.
