AONB Project Fund

The AONB Project Fund is designed to assist with the implementation of the Management Plan, by targeting financial assistance at the Local Priorities and Objectives contained in the Plan. Assistance is discretionary and projects will only be assisted if they are unable to receive grant from another source, e.g. Environmental Stewardship Scheme, English Woodland Grant Scheme, etc. Help and advice will be available from the AONB Unit and District Council Officers, to enable applicants to submit high quality proposals to these other grant schemes.

The Project Fund can assist with the on-going management of sites as well as one-off capital schemes. Assistance will normally be in the range 20-50% of approved costs, but could be up to 100%. Work may be assisted either via grant aid to land managers or via direct works organised and funded by the AONB Unit itself.
